Taste the Traditional Indonesia at Resto Nusantara, Bekasi

Most of the times, the biggest reason why we chose a restaurant to eat is the looks. We are fools for good interior. But this time, for this place, we come for the food. My family and I are fond of Indonesian food. In my opinion, the Indonesian food is the best. Seriously, my favourite food are Pempek, Soto, and Empal Gentong. Anyway, let’s get back to this place. The first time we went here was because bf’s uncle recommended to take us here. And since then, we have not fail to come here everytime we visit bf’s uncle. This restaurant is called ‘Resto Nusantara’. Maybe some of you who lives around East Jakarta and Bekasi has known this place already.

The place itself is not bad, take a look:

First thing first, we order what we always order here : Ikan Telor Mentega (fish cooked with egg and butter). This is our must-order menu, my favourite.

I think I’m good enough eating rice with dice only. But if we can order more, why not, right? So we also ordered Udang Goreng Nusantara (Nusantara’s fried shrimp).

If you often ordered anything that’s fried with salted egg, this one is a must. It’s mixture of salty and savory and spicy is good. Since bf doesn’t really eat seafood, so he basically skipped all the good stuffs above, he decided to order Ayam Goreng (traditional fried chicken).

And the family love veggies (unlike me), so they decided to order Karedok (raw vegetable salad in peanut sauce) and Cah Kangkung Polos (stir fry water morning glory) :

We also never forget to order Mie Goreng (fried noodles) along with the Chinese wish that eating noodles means that you will live a long life.

Most of the family ordered hot tea, because, what’s best to drink with Indonesian food right? Below are some other drinks that we ordered :

Bf said he is waaay too full after that. He ate like twice the portion he already ate, and he still managed to finish the avocado juice. No idea how he could finish it. Another recommended menus are the mussels (my brother said it’s really good), fish soup (it’s a different kind of one than the one you usually found and it’s reaaaally good).
