You’ve Gotta ‘Suka’ (Like) Sukha Delights, Bandung

So WordPress failed me yesterday. No, I failed me yesterday. I was writing all the way through the very end of the post and accidentally hit command + Q and I did not had any chance to save the post. Hiks, silly me. I will remind myself to keep on hitting save. As a programmer, it actually is in my instinct to frequently save anything I’m doing, but this time I failed 🙁

Anyway, yesterday I was craving for sweets, as I have always had sweet tooth. So bf suggests us to go to Sukha Delights. He said they are one of the best cakery in town. I was so excited. Being located at Paskal Hyper Square, which are only rows of shops, I did not expect the shop would look like this from the front:

They have quite a lot of cake selection, but as I heard that this cake has whisky and rum in it, I immediately ordered it. I have always love how rum scented within a cake. It is called ‘Griottine’

The top layers tasted chocolaty. But see the pink/purple-ish layer? It’s tasted soury and actually have chunks of grape inside that gives the cake balance for not being too sweet. However, I actually cannot really tasted any rums nor whisky and the scent is also almost non-existent. Thank God the taste is good that it was not a let down. This cake costs IDR 37.5k

They say opposites attract, right? I believe so because bf is, on the contrary, does not like anything too sweet. So he decided to order a lemon cheese cake that costs IDR 43.5k

The cheesecake is oh-so-smooth that it actually melts in your mouth. Bf likes it, while I think it is too sour. I cannot bring myself to have another spoon of it after I tried it once. But he said it’s good that he finished it in like 5 mins.

If you read my previous posts, you might know that I am a big fan of mojito. It’s like my go to drink anywhere. But, this time I caught a cough that I decided I needed to drink something hot. My choice fall to Caramel Machiatto. It was only later that I realised and actually googled it and found out that caffeine is also not good for my cough, haha. It costs IDR 28.5k and looks the sweetest:

It’s always a dilemma for me whenever a drink arrives looking the sweetest. Like, how can you ruin the good looking delight in front of you? Okay, stop. I know I’m being too dramatic here, haha :p

If you think the price is quite high, you might consider that their price is already tax-included. They do not charge you anything anymore (no tax, no service). The place was also nice, if you happen to visit, you might want to go to the second floor since it has better interior. I had no chance to take picture because, when we arrived they are already half full. By the time I was going to take picture, there comes a couple of families, gather together, bringing along their kids, ruining the quiet coffe/cakery shop atmosphere that plays jazz music. Really, the kids were screaming and running around that I totally cannot listen to the music or what bf said anymore. So we sadly decided to leave early. But would I come back? Yes of course.
